Empowering Africa’s Digital Workforce

TaskNet is building the premier freelance marketplace connecting African talent with global opportunities, creating economic empowerment through digital work.

Bridging the Digital Divide

TaskNet was founded with a clear mission: to connect talented African freelancers with global opportunities while providing businesses with access to a diverse pool of skilled professionals.

We believe that talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not. Through our platform, we’re working to change that by creating meaningful economic opportunities for professionals across Africa.

Empowering Freelancers

Supporting Businesses

Connecting businesses with the talent they need to grow, innovate, and succeed in a digital economy.

Our Story

From Vision to Reality

The journey of TaskNet began with a simple observation and a powerful idea.

2024

The Beginning

TaskNet was founded by a group of tech entrepreneurs and professionals who saw the disconnect between the growing pool of talented freelancers in Africa and the global demand for digital skills. Drawing from their own experiences with the challenges of connecting to global work opportunities, they envisioned a platform specifically designed to address the unique needs of the African freelance market.

2025

Seed Funding

After months of research and platform development, TaskNet secured seed funding from investors who shared our vision of creating economic opportunities through digital work. This investment allowed us to build our core team, develop the initial version of our platform, and begin connecting our first freelancers with clients.

2025

Today & Beyond

Today, TaskNet continues to grow, connecting thousands of African freelancers with clients around the world. We’re constantly innovating and improving our platform based on feedback from our community. Our vision for the future is ambitious: to become the leading marketplace for African freelance talent and to create over 1 million digital jobs across the continent by 2030.
